The sheet metal working arm of this group has a new opportunity for a workshop foreman.
This company specialises in ferrous and non ferrous fabrication, crossing a wide range of sectors from heavy industrial, construction and marine, to high & low volume sheet metal work, precision engineering & retail.
The right candidate will have many years experience of sheet metal working, general fabrication, MIG & TIG work with both ferrous & non ferrous materials & good man management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning the workload as part of the management team.
- Working hands on & managing a team of 7 fabricators to drive the work through, meeting lead time & quality requirements.
- Ensure safe working practice & safe working environment on the workshop floor.
- Motivating the team to provide a positive working environment.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive experience of sheet metal work, general fabrication, MIG & TIG with ferrous & non-ferrous materials.
- Experience supervising / managing people.
- Must be flexible to do regular overtime hours in line with company workload, especially when breakdown work comes in.
- Must have a positive outlook & be self-motivated.
- A full UK driving license is required.
