The role is to lead, plan and develop, client and internal web development projects delivering excellence. It is expected that you will deliver a high level of standards compliance and quality in all projects. You will work lead their development team internally and externally as well as work closely with their client facing teams and make technical decision of how projects are implemented, with client communication and a focus on client requirements at the forefront of everything we do.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team lead all web projects, defining approach, architecture and overseeing implementation to company standards on standard and non-standard platforms
- Project development (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Take responsibility for defining and evolving company development standards and testing protocols
- Implement and manage source control solutions
- Determine and recommend appropriate software architectures and other technical solutions, including new technologies, discussion with clients as appropriate
- Developing client project specification documents
- Contribute to project plans to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Produce technical resource and time estimates to support sales and proposal costing activities
- Attend client meetings to discuss requirements, contribute recommendations, demonstrate functionality and prototypes and review project progress
- Work with colleagues to implement websites and other digital solutions
- Participate in solution testing, taking responsibility for standards
- Report and discuss project progress with project managers and colleagues
- Provide client technical support and training
- Contribute to internal development process improvement thinking and activities
