Job description:

Specialising in HTML, CSS and Javascript with a keen interest in UX and CRO, you will play a key role in the development of the groups portfolio of websites in the coming months and years. Working closely with Front-End technologies, your knowledge should be at a good standard. The successful candidate should be able to code designs supplied by our in-house design team and manage projects through to completion, liaising with internal departments and external agencies throughout a project where necessary. The ideal candidate will have a positive, “can-do” attitude and will be a strong communicator who is able to both discuss and solve complex problems.

Key responsibilities:

- Maintain and continually improve all group websites
- Development and implementation of CRO tests
- Lead the development of new landing pages/websites
- Communicate the intricacies of complex web development issues, acting as a subject matter expert both internally across departments and externally with our agency partners

Key requirements:

- At least 2 years professional experience in web development
- Strong knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Javascript and AJAX
- Extensive WordPress CMS knowledge
- Bespoke WordPress theme development from scratch
- The ability to build custom functionality with WordPress template pages
- Ability to take projects from PSD through to fully functioning web pages
- Strong attention to detail and experience in advanced testing
- Experience with responsive design and cross browser compatibility
- Good working knowledge of Bootstrap CSS or a similar framework
- Understanding of UX, UI and CRO principles and best practices
- Experience in managing development staging areas and using Version Control Systems such as GIT
