One of the leading providers of Workforce Management Software currently have an opportunity for an experienced and proven Web Designer and UI / UX Expert to join their enthusiastic and dedicated technical team.
The role will include duties as follows:
- Work with software developers to enhance the user interface and experience of core products, to ensure a consistent user experience across desktop, tablet, mobile and web platforms
- Assistance with the production of Functional Specifications
- Ownership of the concept and design processes.
- Overhaul, maintain and enhance existing responsive production websites
- Ongoing SEO and Analytics work for production website
- Ad-hoc marketing duties and management of social media pages
- Development of database-driven websites, for both internal and external use
- Ad-hoc duties, as required by management
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A strong professional portfolio, to be provided during the interview and possess great UX / UI skills, including the ability to document prototypes / wireframes / user flows and be able to see your ideas through to completion
- To be an expert with Adobe Photoshop and strong knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript / PHP, as a minimum (experience with other programming languages would be an advantage)
- Good knowledge of key SEO practices and ability to implement new strategies
- Some server management will be required, to maintain local test environments, so comfort with the command line at both Linux shell and DOS would be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a ‘can do’ attitude
