You will be a hard-working and enthusiastic person who will oversee the operational areas of the organisation including warehousing, logistics, production, stock management, order fulfillment, etc.

Excellent people skills are essential, along with the ability to lead a team based on two sites as well as the passion to deliver impeccable service and responsible management in a consistent and dependable manner.

This key position carries significant responsibility and you will be expected to:
- Achieve agreed targets for people (safety, absence, engagement), business process (order fill rate, forecast accuracy, waste management), financial and other metrics. Monitor and communicate these targets.
- Leverage available resources and set the benchmark for operational management, planning and execution using Lean, ‘right first time’ approaches.
- Monitor, control and report on stock levels, trends and shortages. Maintain reliable and accurate stock figures at all times.
- Align development plans for supervisors to the company strategic plan to ensure structure, accountability, responsibility and focus.
- Promote and support effective collaboration between Customer Service, Production, Warehousing and Logistics and other operations areas and improve processes to ensure high performance in on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Work effectively with in-house systems including Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), and contribute to forecasting and transport management.
- Ensure distribution warehouse is organised, equipped, stocked and staffed properly in line with future requirements for volume, handling, storage, shipping and value-added service.
- Manage, motivate and control warehouse and production teams including individual target-setting, performance management, absence management, etc.
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving and implement effective measures to deliver on this.
- Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation is in place.
- Perform all activities in accordance with regulations, company policies and procedures and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards in order to maintain excellent reputations with external and internal customers.
- Implement and monitor excellence in Health & Safety management, including regular auditing and reporting to H&S Manager. Maintenance of a safe, secure and compliant workplace and environment.
