The role is based on a remote / home working model.

The role would suit someone wanting to supplement an existing job, avoid a commute or scale back from a full-time role.

Salary will be £11-12 per hour, plus commission and bonus. You will be paid at an hourly rate, but this is the equivalent to approximately £20,000-£22,000 for a full time role. The role is a permanent role.

The candidate will be expected to use their own computer and internet connection however a phone service and relevant software will be provided.

A professional services firm is looking for an administrative assistant to work within a supportive team. The role is an Assistant role working alongside a Senior Assistant and would be suitable for a flexible and proactive applicant willing to work on a variety of matters. Training will be provided where required in respect of the firm’s systems and processes.

The candidate should have the desire to learn new processes. The candidate will be in regular contact with the firm’s clients and should be able to present an excellent image and have a client-focused attitude.

The role is flexible and the work provided will be based on busyness levels however, as a guide, it is expected that the role will be equivalent to a part time role, i.e. 20-30 hours per week. The role could, if desired, be expanded to a full time role in future with greater responsibility.

The role will include the following:

- Working closely with the existing Senior Assistant to provide an excellent support service.
- Managing the diaries and administrative support requirements for the directors of the firm.
- Contacting clients to arrange meetings, provide quotation documentation and follow up on outstanding proposals.
- Booking meeting rooms and dealing with post.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of clients.
- Learn and contribute to specific client services including a process agent service.
- Draft and issue client invoices.
- Provide credit control support.
- Carry out various standardised processes including client identity verification checks.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes (although candidates meeting only some of the following criteria will be considered):

- secretarial and/or business administration qualifications;
- at least three years working in a professional services firm;
- excellent organisation and time management skills;
- excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
- confidence with IT packages such as Microsoft Office;
- experience with managing and operating Xero and/or Workflow Max;
- Accuracy and good attention to detail;
- interest in or knowledge of law and/or accountancy;
- excellent inter-personal skills and a customer driven attitude;
- flexible and adaptive approach to work.
