To be the link between the Design & Development department and manufacturing, with responsibility for the delivery of digital printed product using design and colouration techniques to agreed timescales, including the ability to translate existing designs onto print base cloths.

Manage personal self-development of technical knowledge of the printing process to become an expert in digital print technology.

To research and feed-back to Product Development and Manufacturing on new digital print techniques and technologies in order to exploit digital print capability as required.

Development & Production:
- Operate digital print equipment to produce digital print samples.
- Liaise with ancillary departments to plan trials for samples and treatments during trial programme.
- Build the ability to advise on production techniques required for each product and report on suitability of base fabric for optimum efficiency in bulk manufacturing.
- To liaise between the Design & Development, Planning and Manufacturing teams to facilitate the prioritising and scheduling of development schedules through the production phase.
- To ensure that all developments are progressed to the next production stage in a timely manner and Design & Development are updated as appropriate.
- At point of process, have the capability to work with and liaise with customers on design and development ideas, also being able to advise on both the limitations of and opportunities with digital print techniques.

Competence Profile
- This position would suit an individual with a textile background that is wanting to participate in a growing sector of the textile manufacturing process.
- Someone who enjoys working with colour and experimenting with the interaction between design, colour and substrate would be an ideal candidate.
- A working knowledge of Digital Print, Design and colouration including colour management,
- Some experience with digital print equipment.
- Excellent colour acuity.
- The ability to work independently with passion and drive whilst demonstrating high levels of resilience and energy.
- Excellent organisational skills to be responsible and accountable for the management of own workload and with the ability to potentially supervise others.
- Proven ability to demonstrate new solutions and creativity, whilst assessing its commerciality.
- Ability to work and communicate with individuals at all levels with sensitivity to internal pressures and corporate demands.
- Strong, successful and proven interpersonal skills utilised for effective communication internally and externally.
- Experience of working in a fast paced and evolving manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience of internal quality, safety and environmental standards and their importance to the business.
