A Technical Project Manager is required to join a successful Technology Services company. They make it their business to provide outstanding, innovative service where quality, integrity & respect are key values. The company delivers a variety of outsourced, managed & project services across a wide range of clients in the SMB/SME marketplace.

They are looking for a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis, someone who wants to be part of a growing, dynamic team of people that work hard to achieve the best result for their clients. You must be well presented, able to communicate effectively (both face-to-face, over the phone & in written English), have sound time management skills, be a committed & flexible team player & relish success.

You should be able to build rapport with clients & convey technical work in “plain English” rather than geek-speak. It is also essential that you have an analytical mind, are able to troubleshoot effectively & with tenacity.

You will report to the Operations Director & your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Planning and implementation of projects – solo or leading other team members.
- Pre-sales technical advice to clients & sales staff.
- Support to Service Operations.
- Thorough documentation (progress & final) when delivering projects.
- Highlight improvements for the mutual benefit of your co-workers, the company & clients.
- Mentoring of lower tier engineers.
- Designing, installing, configuring, migrating solutions & supporting SMB/SMEs.

Essential Skills:

- Strong project management skills.
- ITSM/ITIL knowledge.
- Exchange – Office365 & hybrid deployments.
- Windows Server – Server 2008 onwards with an in-depth understanding of AD, DNS & DHCP.
- Terminal Server/RDS – Server 2008 onwards including load balancing & VDI.
- Network Infrastructure – TCP/IP knowledge with experience in enterprise level devices such as Cisco, Fortinet or Meraki.
- The configuration of VLANs & VPNs.
- Virtualisation – Hyper-V & VMWare including high availability & SANs.
- VoIP Systems experience would be an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

- Professional IT certifications, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE or CompTIA A+, N+ would be ideal.
- ITIL V3 Foundation Certification
- Project management certification for Agile or Prince II or a good understanding of project management methodologies.
