They have a vacancy for a Systems Co-ordinator to work in their Furniture and Floorcoverings business area. They will also be expected to assist in other business areas as required.

The main responsibilities of this role will be maintaining and improving systems and processes that ensure compliance with their Quality and Health and Safety systems. Key activities will include:

- Maintaining and improving the internal Quality System within the department;
- Ensuring that H & S matters are in compliance with legal and company requirements;
- Performing calibrations, risk assessments, witnessed assessments and uncertainty of measurement budgets;
- Maintaining the equipment register and updating software validation folders;
- Managing check testing and inter-laboratory trials;
- Assist with ISO 17025 internal audits and technical audits of the departments;
- Liaising with the health and safety advisor, other systems co-ordinators and managers throughout the company to establish best practice throughout the company.
- Effective time management, excellent mathematical skills & a scientific approach are all prerequisites of the role.

Experience and understanding of working to quality control / quality management systems is desirable requirement along with knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures.

A minimum of 2 years laboratory experience is an essential requirement for the role.

As a senior member of the teams, this role will also involve some test method development and office based administration tasks. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a self-motivated approach to work along with the ability to work unsupervised.

Hours: 37.5 a week
