This is a full time post in a small, friendly team at this supported living site in Caterham where ten service users reside in flats. The service users require support in most areas of their daily social life and everyday tasks - personal care is minimal.
Their Support Workers are responsible for providing guidance, support and engagement to their service users, promoting independence. The people they support are aged from 21 years and have a range of complex needs including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and autistic spectrum disorder.
This full time position will come with an hourly rate of between £7.50 and £8.10 depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Caring, professional and an excellent communicator
- Passionate about care with particular emphasis on adult services
- Be self-motivated and flexible
- Able to work well with in a team
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Have good administrative skills
- Hold a Diploma 2 in Health and Social Care or be prepared to work towards and complete this qualification within an outlined timeframe.
