This company provide a software as a service electronic prescribing system to the healthcare sector. Their customers include some of the world’s leading hospitals in cancer treatment. Due to their rapidly growing customer base, both in the NHS and the private sector they are recruiting for a Software Test Engineer.

Over the past 7 years they have built a reputation for producing robust software of the highest quality. To ensure that they maintain this reputation they are looking to hire a Software Test Engineer.

Reporting to the Technical Director the successful applicant will have a background in implementing and developing solid QA and Test processes, with experience in Test Automation and Test Scripting. The successful candidate will also be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle.

As a company, they are continually working to improve their processes so that they can remain on the cutting edge of their sector and this role will play a key part in that process.

Skills and experience:

Essential skills
- Experience of both manual and automated testing of software products
- Working knowledge of C# / unit testing
- Previous experience implementing software testing strategies within a software development team/company
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good computer skills (including a good level of familiarity with MS Office products)

Desirable skills
- Experience of the Healthcare Sector / e-prescribing
- Working knowledge of SQL Server / T-SQL
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of software testing tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, NUnit

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of their testing strategy
- Identify and implement improvements to testing processes
- Develop and execute manual and automatic test plans
- Maintenance of documentation to support all of our processes and standards
- Participation in development team meetings including release planning
- Lead on user acceptance testing planning and execution with their customers
