They have a vacancy for a Senior Team Leader to work in their Furniture and Floorcoverings business area.

As a Senior Team Leader you will support and deputise for the Business Manager when necessary, ensuring the department always meets required customer service levels. You will assist with general management duties and handle technical customer enquiries regarding furniture and floorcoverings testing requirements and develop good working relationships with specifiers in key customers; actively helping to grow the business. You will remain up to date with furniture and floorcoverings testing legislation and testing standards.

You will also be involved in providing accurate quotations, securing testing work and promptly booking jobs into the laboratory. You will prepare lab test sheets and test reports in accordance with SATRA procedures. You will also write technical and promotional articles and assist with sales and marketing initiatives.

Candidates should have a good understanding of the physical testing of products in a regulated laboratory and preferably relevant industry experience. GCSE’s in Maths and English are essential.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with customers an understanding of the testing of different types of consumer products. Good communication skills are essential, as are practical computer skills.

Flexibility, tenacity and a ‘can-do attitude’ are key requisites of the role. Within the guidelines of the flexible working system, candidates should be able and willing to work their contracted hours between the hours of 7am and 7pm if required.
