We are hiring at Management level on behalf of a well-established specialist trade association and advisory body.

This senior level Operations role ultimately manages and delivers key commercial and operational activities for a business whose members and customers are its most important asset.

About The Organisation:

This organisation is the sole trade association for the lift and escalator industry, and represents over 85% of specialist contractors in this sector. Highly regarded, they are a single voice for the sector.

They provide the following support and services for their members: Provision of advice on health and safety, technical standards and regulations, contracts and legal matters; promotion of education and training; co-operation within the sector and between the sector and its customers and suppliers; development of the commercial environment and helping members to maintain the best standards of quality and workmanship.

About the Role:

Based in Central London, and working closely with the Managing Director, this role acts as a key strategic contact within the organisation, supporting the Contracts and Legal Committee and being accountable for the smooth running of the organisation from an administration and operations perspective.

Membership & Customers

- Manage membership database and communication channels
- Effective Member/Client liaison
- Plan and coordinate Industry renown LIFTEX Exhibition, with full budgetary responsibility
- Manage website content and message
- Market data collection including monthly indices

Contracts and Legal

- Manage, organise, support and provide Secretariat for Contracts & Legal Committee meetings
- Organise Contract and Legal seminars for Members

IT & Quality Management

- Manage internal IT systems and website
- Quality Management to ensure ISO 9001 is retained

About You:

- You have 10+ years of progressive corporate experience, either in a complimentary industry –
engineering/construction OR a proven track record in a successful and relevant Trade or Membership
associations.
- You are fully committed to the Association’s vision and strategy and enthusiastic and keen to contribute to its
development going forward.
- Happy to work within a small but highly skilled and professional team
- Any general contractual knowledge of construction contract suites would be desirable but are not essential e.g. JCT, NEC3, GC/Works
- Good commercial and financial acumen
- Degree preferable, but not essential
