This is an opportunity to join a purpose built Nursing and Residential home in the Harbour area of Portishead, specialising in Dementia Care. They are looking for a Senior Maintenance Person to join their happy and progressive team
They are looking for the right person to take the lead on maintenance in the home, ensuring that they are compliant with all health and safety regulations. The role will include testing of equipment and systems, some general maintenance, painting and decorating, booking and liaising with contractors and managing the maintenance budget.
The Senior Maintenance Person will have a leading role in fire safety in the home and would assist with training of staff in this area.
This role is reportable directly to the Home Manager. Mandatory and specialist training will be provided as required by the role
Excellent verbal and written English, basic IT skills are essential. Experience in a similar role and/or knowledge of health and safety legislation will be an advantage.
