A major housing association operating between Oxford and Cambridge, based in Bedford. They are a leading provider and developer of affordable homes - for rent, sheltered, residential care and shared ownership. They own around 18,000 homes, employ 350 people, and have an annual turnover in excess of GBP 100 million.
They are looking for a Senior Maintenance Officer to lead a team of Surveyors whose job it is to ensure that the responsive repairs and voids service that they provide to their customers is efficient, good value for money and that quality standards are achieved.
As the Senior Maintenance Officer, you will work closely with the team and their main contractors to ensure that targets are met and the service is delivered within the allocated budgets. You will work closely with the Project Managers to establish future programmes, to ensure a more pro-active maintenance service is in place.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate excellent customer care skills ensuring complaints are resolved promptly, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
Have knowledge and understanding of building construction, maintenance and legislation as well as a drive to deliver good customer service.
Be qualified to ONC/HNC/NVQ level 3 or similar within the construction industry
Be able to lead and motivate a team to improve customer service
Be a good communicator
