This Social Enterprise provides a range of diverse cultural, sporting and physical activities throughout East Devon and South Somerset in the sectors of indoor and outdoor sports, swimming, exercise and health, children’s play schemes, educational programmes, sporting and cultural events and the performing arts.
They are now seeking a Senior Lifeguard & Relief Duty Manager to join their dynamic organisation. This is an ideal opportunity to gain supervisory and duty management experience, with excellent opportunities to progress within the company. The candidate will be energetic, committed and who strives to deliver excellent customer service. Working hours will 37 per week to include evenings and weekends on a shift basis.

Job purpose:
Supervise the lifeguard team and provide a life guarding service and general assistance with the operation of the Leisure facility.
As a Relief Duty Manager, assist the Leisure Manager with the safe, efficient and effective management of the facilities deputising for him/her in his/her absence.
Essential attributes:
- R.L.S.S. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Evidence of practical experience in key activities outlined in the job description.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation within the leisure industry
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable attributes:
- ASA or STA Swimming Teaching Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate
- Supervisory Experience
