To help manage increasing development, this council is looking for a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer (permanent, full time).
The District has a diverse mix of rural and urban environments and is subject to considerable growth pressures in its 6 market towns. The District has a strong historic context - 28 designated Conservation Areas and around 1400 Listed Buildings make this a very attractive and picturesque area to work. Their Offices are in Thrapston, a market town easily accessible from a number of directions due to its location at the junction of the A14, A45 and A605.
This pressure for growth needs to be carefully managed and you’ll play a key role in monitoring approved schemes and investigating unlawful developments. You will help support the management of major developments from urban projects through to greenfield sites. Whether you are an experienced line manager or looking for a step up, this is your chance to develop and inspire through direct responsibility for two members of staff as part of the wider Development Management Team.
