This company is Scotland’s leading tanning, toning and teeth whitening chain. Established for over 24 years, there are 27 salons across Scotland and, with an extensive growth strategy in place, the company is continually growing and evolving.

They currently have vacancies for Salon Managers (or Trainee Salon managers) to manage salons in the Edinburgh area.

You will learn the full managerial role before managing a salon alone. This is a full time position and will consist of 30-40 hours per week (can be down to candidate preference). Although some managerial experience would be an advantage, they would consider applicants with little or no managerial experience so long as they demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, have strong initiative, happy to lead by example at all times and are keen to learn.

Managed by its original founders, this company provides an entrepreneurial environment where career progression opportunities are endless. Hard work, dedication and a ‘can do’ attitude are recognized, rewarded and encouraged. There is a structured Training and Development Programme in place and each employee has a Mentor overseeing their individual Career Development Plan. They provide the opportunity for you to reach your true potential – and beyond!

The Role
The role is fast paced, challenging and rewarding. Although it can be demanding, particularly during the Summer months when the salons are extremely busy, the buzz and energy of working in this environment is second to none. Plus the career progression opportunities that are available differentiate the company from most others out there. They are eager to employ people who are driven to better themselves every day and love to see them learn and grow.

This role can be a stepping stone onto more senior managerial posts in a very short space of time should the successful candidate display the necessary potential. Job progression is a very important part of their business model

Duties include sales, customer service, self and staff management, managerial paperwork, reports and bankings and a high level of salon housekeeping is required by all staff

Monday - Friday 30+ hours per week with occasional weekend shifts as required for your own staff cover.
Fortnightly pay, quarterly BONUS and excellent staff discount scheme in place.

The Person
The ideal candidate will thrive at a challenge and will love working in a fast paced environment where there are always tasks to be done. You will also have a willingness to go that extra mile to help colleagues and customers and will maintain high standards of salon cleanliness at all times.

Due to the nature of the business, flexibility to work varying shift patterns is beneficial as is customer focused approach. As the face of the company, exceptional customer service skills are a must and, although previous experience in a similar role is a benefit, it is not essential providing you have the right attitude.
