This long established family run business with a reputation as Bath's leading fireplace, stove and chimney specialist is looking for someone to take on the role of Technical Sales Advisor/Surveyor.
The role will involve you listening to customers, identifying their requirements and needs and offering a solution through their products.
You will advise potential customers on all aspects of flue and fireplace design, help with their choice of wood burning, gas fired or solid fuel appliance and prepare cost estimates and negotiate sales.
The role can be broken down into:
- Listening & assisting customers in the showroom or over the telephone and carrying out site visits
- Carrying out and recording details of home fireplace and chimney surveys
- Designing flue and fireplace systems/solutions which comply with Building, HETAS and/or Gas Safe regulations as well as manufacturers instructions
- Preparing estimates and defining the scope of works
- Negotiating sales & closing in a consultative approach
- High standard of customer care and professionalism
Ideally you will have the following:
- a good level of English and numeracy
- excellent listening and communication skills
- be able to problem solve and offer solutions
- be self organised with a fine attention to detail
- experienced in dealing with customers
Work within the building industry with a basic understanding of the Building Regulations would be an advantage as would industry experience but training can be given.
The position is based at their Monkton Combe showroom but will involve travel to the surrounding areas to carry out fireplace surveys so a full drivers licence is required.
The hours are generally 8.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with some Saturdays in the showroom.
They offer 20 days holiday and Bank Holidays.
Salary to be negotiated dependant on the successful applicant.
