A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right person to manage an idyllic country pub/restaurant in Lower Hardres a lovely location near Canterbury.

They are an independent restaurant company with three sites and plans for more in South East Kent. Their restaurants are busy, informal and hold a lot of events throughout the year like live music, private parties and wedding receptions. This restaurant in particular has 150 covers, a beautiful garden and bar area and has won awards for it’s gastropub menu.

They are proud of their achievements and want to recruit an energetic, passionate and experienced person to help them succeed.

Experience required:
- 3 years preferable / 2 years considered
- Proven management experience within the restaurant or hospitality sector, preferably in a busy fresh food and casual dining environment.
- Excellent communication skills and experienced in managerial administration.
- Commercially aware, able to understand margins, produce and understand financial profit, loss and budgeting reports.
- Proven track record of delivering and improving sales and profits.
- Ability to deliver the highest level of customer service, care and satisfaction.

The Role

You will be required to use strong leadership skills to promote great team work with a hands-on approach and commitment to getting things done.

Your good communication skills will help you to liaise with the restaurant, bar and front of house teams daily. You will also be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to deliver a first-class experience to our customers.

Your great eye for detail will ensure the restaurant is always welcoming and inviting and your natural flair for customer service will enable you to engage the local community and drive sales and marketing.
