The Role (part-time, 21.75 hours per week):

The Regional Director (Engagement) is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Regional Support Teams (RSTs) for both North East and Yorkshire & Humber regions.

Working closely with the Regional Director (Inform) for the North East and Yorkshire & Humber, this role will support the delivery of the organisations Vision and Plan through the retention of the members and the delivery of a compelling knowledge programme in the regions that appeals to both existing members and future generations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Support Regional Committees, Branches and Special Interest Groups in the development of a compelling knowledge programme.
- Deliver knowledge to assist members in acquiring new skills and improve their professional competence
- Expand the online provision of learning to facilitate greater member engagement.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the membership and develop life-long learning.
- Identify and support suitable applicants for Fellowship and Associate Membership.
- Ensure that Branch and Specialist Interest Groups are supported in the development of a compelling and relevant knowledge programme
- Ensure that event and other regional feedback is collated, analysed and reported
- Providing leadership, direction and management of two multi-disciplinary RSTs to ensure the delivery of their vision;
- Preparing, monitoring and managing regional budgets.

They are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:

- Significant knowledge of the built environment, construction or civil engineering sectors
- Knowledge of regional and local government and public affairs / external relations
- Significant experience of customer / client relations and account management
- Strong experience of motivating, managing and developing a team
- Experience in developing, shaping and implementing a business plan
- Budget experience (both preparing and managing)
- Significant experience of working with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, engagement and relationship-building skills
- Experience of presenting to a wide variety of audiences
- Project management skills are essential
- Experience and ability to work on your own initiative and manage a significant and varied workload with competing demands
