This principal construction contractor is looking for a motivated and intelligent Quantity Surveyor to work as part of their small office team tendering and delivering commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Director and will have the opportunity to grow their role in conjunction with a fast growing company. (The company will consider candidates from alternative industries if they have the pre-requisite underlying skill set)

The role will involve;
- Production of project cost plans and estimates.
- Compilation and issuing of subcontractor packages.
- General procurement and ordering.
- Reconciliation of quotes and determination of best value.
- Interim valuations and final account settlements.
- Production of site packs to convert tender information to a buildable format.
- Managing project change control and associated commercial variations.
- Post-completion project reconciliations.
- Assisting in the production of tender documentation.
- Assistance in financial and project accounting.
- Working hours generally 8am till 5:00pm; Mon-Fri.

The successful candidate is likely to have;
- Relevant qualifications (HND, Degree etc.)
- Experience of quantity surveying within construction.
- A strong work ethic, with a focus on project delivery and client satisfaction.
- A friendly, client facing personality.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Current working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multi task and work on their own confidently.

The package they are offering is;
- Basic Salary of £32,000 - 36,000 gross per annum, dependant on experience
- Consideration would be given to a Company Car as part of a salary sacrifice if desired)
- Company Pension
- 28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays), rising to 33 Days with length of service.
