This Import / Export company located in Hornchurch , Essex buys and sells Essential Oils & Aromatic Chemicals used in the Flavour & Fragrance Industry.
The company has been trading for nearly 50 years and is family owned and run. They supply raw materials and finished goods to a broad range of customers worldwide, although our main focus is in UK and Europe.
The company is looking for a Quality Control Technician, located in Hornchurch, Essex.
Duties :-
-Sample raw material deliveries in their warehouse or off-site facility in Basildon.
-Sample, pack and post customer samples using Royal Mail or other courier services.
-Maintain stocks of bottles and packaging materials for sample despatch and internal compounding.
-Measure range of physical constants on purchased raw materials, pre shipment samples and outgoing goods. Tests include Specific Gravity / Optical Rotation / Refractive Index, plus colour and appearance.
-Record test data on an internal database and compare results to the company standards and/or customer specifications.
-File samples in storage refrigerators when fully tested and approved using dedicated sample number system.
Maintain sample filing system.
Skills :-
-Educated to GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
-Computer literate, with good understanding of email systems, Microsoft Office suite - Excel / Word
-Ability to communicate with other employees
-Physically fit and able to move / carry products and samples within the warehouse and QC laboratory
-Full clean Driving License would be useful, but not essential
Annual Salary & Benefits :-
-£18K - Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700
