The Role
Hours of work:
- Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm
- Friday - 7am-1:30pm
This company are looking for a production operative to work in their digital printed blinds department. You will learn how to run and maintain their wide format printers as well as assisting in the production of blinds and file preparation. No prior printing experience is necessary as they provide full training for the successful applicant.
You will learn how to use a number of large different pieces of machinery including a 3.2m wide Mimaki UJV55-320 printer, HP Stitch 300 printer, Transmatic Heat Press, GMI CCT-300 cutting table. The role would best suit someone hands on who is willing to learn how things work.
The successful candidate will work closely in a small team and will get involved within a busy production atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Production Operative in the digital printed blinds department include, but are not limited to:
- Loading and operating a variety of wide format printers ranging from 1.6m to 3.2m wide
- Machine maintenance
- Routine cleaning, troubleshooting print issues, learning to fit basic parts etc
- Processing and checking files before going to print
- Learning to create different material profiles to achieve the best colour results
- Updating the job board to track jobs as they move through the different production stages in the warehouse
- Helping to keep stock of different materials and machine supplies
- Handling paperwork and deciding how plan work effectively and efficiently between the machines available
