They have a vacancy for a Production, Commissioning and Service Engineer to work in their Test Equipment Department.
The key responsibilities and duties for this role will be to:
- Service and repair test equipment at customer premises in the UK and overseas.
- To provide production support primarily involving electrical assembly, machine commissioning and calibration.
- Be able to plan and prepare own travel visits by liaising with customers and ensuring that the visits are cost effective.
- Produce reports and liaise with sales team regarding service costs.
It is essential that the successful candidate has:
-The appropriate engineering / technical qualifications.
The desired qualifications, training or experience for the successful candidate is:
- Mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Be able to use test equipment.
- Be computer literate.
- Be able to plan, schedule and arrange all aspects of service visits.
- Have good customer facing skills.
- Be able to communicate effectively face to face by phone and email.
- To be able to recognize faults, provide solutions and advice.
- To be able to plan visits cost effectively.
