This is an exciting opportunity to join a world leading, rapidly growing business within the NDT Industry undertaking design, development and manufacture of specialist inspection equipment for the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry.

They are currently looking for a multi-skilled person to join their talented team of technicians. The role will involve a mix of co-ordinating a team of 4 electronic technicians, store inventory management as well as manufacturing, calibration and repair of TSC products.

The role will also involve assisting with day to day manufacturing activities. This will involve soldering of components and delicate wires onto printed circuit boards, cable assembly and final assembly of their existing products.

Role and Responsibilities

- Coordination of production activities among a team of 4 electronic technicians
- Weekly report updates to the Product Design & Production director (production schedule, lead time, workload, calibration and repairs)
- Accountability for delivering, calibrating and repairing goods in-time, raise any issues or potential delays to line management.
- Store and Stock supervision.
- Manufacturing of range of inspection products.
- Calibrating and repairing customer equipment.
- Testing sub-assemblies and parts using electronic test equipment such as Mustimeters, Oscilloscopes.
- Create new and updating of existing Production Documentation.
- Ensuring that customers receive their equipment within a specified deadline.
- Assisting in day to day inspection and dispatch of new customer products.
- Work as part of the Production Team to achieve Targets and KPI’s.
- Ensure that Company Quality Policy and Procedures are applied.
- Ensure that Company Health and Safety Polices and Procedures are applied.

Work Experience / Specialised Skills / Knowledge:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working within an electronic manufacturing or testing environment.
- Ability to carry out both surface mount and through hole soldering.
- Experience handling and wiring of cables assemblies.
- Experience using electronic test equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, lab power supplies, etc.
- Experience in team management is not essential, but will be highly considered
- Fully capable of using MS office: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, …
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610

Education / Certification:
- ONC or NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Electrical or Electronic Engineering Apprenticeship
