This company is a world–ranking specialist in the mechanical sealing industry, designing, manufacturing and distributing precision engineered mechanical seals and sealing systems. The company sets new industry standards in performance, reliability, cost and service.

The role is to provide technical on-site support to the a Managed Reliability Contract.

The role may also require technical support for other customers as and when business need arise.

All seal repairs will be undertaken by their international repair centre in Derby. The OSRT will coordinate the repair cycle with close liaison with their Derby site.

Administration for the contract will be via the Middlesbrough branch office – the OSRT will maintain close communication with this office for all transactions.

The role includes the ability to:
- Assist and be responsible for continuous update of the Asset Health Database as necessary to monitor and evaluate the status and execution of the Contract.
- Oversee the seal installation; including measurement, pre- installation checks, installation, commissioning and operation
- Oversee the seal installation conversion process; including measurement, design, delivery, installation and operation.
- Organise and maintain site walk rounds to check on installed equipment for correct operation of seals and piping plans. Reporting to on site customer Engineering and or Operations for any corrective actions
- Liaise with the Applications Engineering and Manufacturing functions, and other Suppliers to meet the customer expectations.
- Function as the primary source of information regarding the design, application, installation, and operation of mechanical seals.
- Carry out strip down and provide condition reports for known low reliability applications or common failures
- Assist in failure analysis root cause investigation, be primarily responsible for information gathering form all sources – for example but not limited to; Workshop Engineering Process Operations
- Assist the Contract Manager or Sales Engineer or make recommendations and presentations to the Customer concerning reliability issues and opportunities.
- Be responsible for daily advancement towards the agreed upon goals as set by the reliability steering group
- Attend contract reliability meeting and carry out customer training, typically but not limited to “toolbox talks”

The ideal candidate must have experience of working within a related industry in a similar customer focused role.

You will have knowledge and experience with rotating equipment, both practical and theoretical, ideally with an understanding of the mechanical seal market.

You should be able to prioritise work and manage projects and ideally demonstrate an understanding of company forecasting and budgeting . An ability to investigate and solve problems is also required.
