This is an opportunity to join a well- respected and successful manufacturer of added value ambient Ready Meals. Based in Ayrshire the company manufactures both branded and own label products and has an enviable reputation for quality.

With an extensive client portfolio ranging from the top 4 multiple grocers through Symbol Groups, Discounters and Independent retailers to Wholesalers, Cash and Carry, Food Service…the list is endless, as are opportunities!
A fast track growth programme has required the company to recruit a National Account Manager/Key Account Manager who has either Foodservice Sector or Retail Sector experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is already successful in Category Management, Food Service sales or in a National Account Manager role focused in Foodservice or Retail markets.

You will be mentored, trained and supported by an extremely capable team every step of this journey however you must demonstrate a desire to learn, succeed and develop as a professional manager if you are to develop your career.

Exposure to every aspect of the business is guaranteed including manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and category management and whilst the role may be channel specific, there is an expectation of quickly absorbing wider responsibilities.

This business is both lean and transparent and in commercial roles recruit individuals who look for a significant degree of exposure and accountability. As such, you will be expected to absorb and integrate and quickly understand the company, its customers and the market as a whole.

- Ideally, you should be a graduate (or of graduate calibre) and be able to demonstrate track record of success within Foodservice/Retail Account Management or Foodservice Field Sales roles and have the ability to learn quickly and with enthusiasm.
- A keen and enquiring intellect should be married to an outgoing and resilient personality, all of which will be essential if you are to quickly understand the dynamics of the market and succeed in the role.
- You will be computer literate, and be more than comfortable working with Excel, PowerPoint and Office. This is a highly commercial role therefore the ability to manage, interrogate, manipulate and present data is essential.

Extensive travel within the UK is required however you should be based within daily commuting distance of the company’s base in Ayrshire as regular attendance for meetings etc will be required. Some International travel may be required as the companies export business grows.

On offer is a competitive basic salary and bonus structure with OTE of £35,000+ dependent upon the candidate and experience, significant company and personal bonus schemes apply to this role based upon achievement. A company car, phone, lap top etc will be provided.
