This company, based in Poynton, Cheshire, manufacture prestigious volumetric concrete mixing equipment. They are looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to join their team of territory based engineers.
The role provides plenty of variety, not only in the job itself, but the different machine applications you will encounter and, of course, a wide variety of existing and new customers to work with and exceed their expectations at every opportunity.
You will be supported by their Service Manager and his team, who will work with you to route you efficiently, ensure you have the necessary parts and provide telephone back up should it be needed.
Primarily, you will cover the Midlands and surrounding area and from time to time it may necessary to travel further afield to cover colleagues' holidays, etc
Here's a sample of what you'll be doing:
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance to concrete mixing equipment to a high standard
- Training customers on the safe and efficient operation of equipment
- Carrying out condition reports
- Conducting test runs
- Diagnosing and identifying faults and malfunctions
- Carrying out repairs, fabrications and fitting of spare parts
- Commissioning and calibrating equipment
You'll need to be personable and approachable as developing and maintaining good relationships with customers is key to your success in this role.
A flexible approach to working hours to meet customers' needs and to cover the rota will be required.
