This role is working with a dynamic and ambitious 18,000 unit Housing Association based in Bedford and operating throughout the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor. The organisation employs 400 people, has an annual turnover in excess of £120m and a development programme that will see it build around 3,000 new homes over the next five years making it one of the top 25 of developing associations.

They are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their Building Services team. You will work with the contractors to ensure repairs are carried out quickly and to a high standard while achieving value for money.

A knowledge and understanding of building construction, maintenance and legislation as well as a drive to deliver good customer service is essential in this role.

Are you a good communicator? Can you demonstrate excellent customer service, technical ability, self-motivation and initiative? If so then they would love to hear from you.

- You must be able to work alone, as this post requires you to work from home or on your patch for much of the working week.
- You must live within proximity to Oxford.
- You will have a good working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of social and affordable housing.
- You will have substantial experience of dealing with a range of customers and challenging situations.
- You must have a full driving license.
- Minimum qualification of BTEC Level 3/NVQ3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Electrical, or Carpentry, is required. To apply please submit a CV and a supporting statement detailing why you would like to apply and how you meet the requirements of the role profile.
