You will be working for one of the country's leading providers of contract packaging services for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the setting, running and maintaining of packaging machinery within a small team of technicians based in a clean room environment.

Applicants must be able to work between shift patterns and be able to change from one to another at short notice.
Early Shift working hours
06:00 – 14:30 Mon - Thurs, 06:00 – 11:30 Fri (37.5hrs)

Late shift working hours:
14:30 - 00:30 Mon - Wed, 14:30 – 00:00 Thurs (37.5hrs)

Day shift working hours:
08:00 - 16:30 Mon - Thurs, 08:00 - 13:30 Fri (37.5hrs)

Initial training to take place during the day shift working hours.

Upon completion of machine operator training the main working hours will be the late shift.

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience

Technician Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating of process machinery for production running.
- Use Quality documentation throughout the production processes to ensure the product is right first time.
- Carrying out routine inspections, ensuring products meet a high level of quality.
- Responding immediately to operators requiring assistance.
- Work to the production plan and inform the rest of team of any updates and/or changes to ensure efficiency.
- Analyse routine production activity; ensuring material is requested on time, prepared and correct documentation is in place to ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure the segregation and efficient flow of raw materials and customer goods in and out of the Clean room.
- Monitor and work towards achieving a target of 100% delivery accuracy.
- Maximise the efficiency of resources by means of effective planning, communication.
- Ensuring a level of communication within the Clean room.
- Uphold a constant level of continuous improvement within the Clean room.
- Bring new ideas/methods to improve efficiency and Quality.

Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service production equipment by means of regular checks in accordance with the preventative maintenance system and replacing of parts.
- Regularly cleaning machinery keeping a high level of quality and presentation for auditors, customers and suppliers.

Required Skills:
- Experience of operating packaging machinery advantageous (not essential)
- Previous supervisory skills/management
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Problem solving
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to read and check small print on packaging
- Physically able to lift 25kg rolls
- Enthusiasm and ability to learn new skills
- Punctuality
