They are current using STM32 microcontrollers, based on Cortex M3 architecture from ARM Technologies. Embedded firmware development is done using CrossWorks for ARM (from Rowley Associates) in ANSI C language. Technologies employed in their products encompass a variety of exciting applications such as GPS/GNSS, GPRS/3G/4G, CANBus, Bluetooth, MEMS Accelerometers, RFID/NFC, Solar Power and power-management using lithium polymer batteries.
They are seeking an individual with exceptional talent and experience in the field of embedded C software (firmware) development to lead their small development team. This is a position for someone of high calibre and ambitions to match. The successful candidate will be offered a position on the board of directors and 5% equity in the company, following their first year in the role.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree (or post grad qualification) in a related subject and at least 5 years of commercial embedded software experience.
This role will be based at their Manchester office. Working environment is casual and hours are flexible. They offer 25 days annual leave and a company pension scheme. Salary and benefits are negotiable and will depend on qualifications and experience.
