Fabrication and Joinery Operations Manager Job Opportunity for this Global Leader in Exhibitions & Events. Working in the Design & Build department of their state of the art facility in Coventry you’ll primarily focus on managing and overseeing the production, scheduling and installation of Custom manufactured exhibition stands and exposition features.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage finish to packaging, loading and manifesting of all exhibition stands, carpentry and joinery materials.
- Establish site build teams for execution and all requirements, whilst striving for Manufacturing and Operational Excellence across the fabrication department.
- Labour and Capacity Planning: ensuring that sufficient manpower is in position daily and weekly.
- Raise detailed ‘T’ card work instructions for each section of each project and control process.
- Organisation and supervision of fabrication and paint departments, ensuring personnel are being productive and respectful of housekeeping and expected standards of work and behaviour.
- Specify requirements for hotel and travel for fabrication site crews across all projects.
- Ensure Foremen perform daily Tool box Talks to all joinery and paint crews, and that any extraordinary activities are properly risk assessed by foremen.
- Implement & monitor fabrication staff KPIs: On-Time In-Full deliveries, Quality checks, Project hours
- Ensure inventory accuracy within warehouse; collaborating with Manager to ensure safe and proper storage of fabricated stock, and that Raw materials & consumables are managed sensibly.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

A positive, highly competent production supervisor/manager with in-depth knowledge of Wood Fabrications, joinery and or exhibition stands, Interiors fit-out, with a methodical, service and quality orientated approach to production and management.
- Adaptability & Resourceful - Effectively adapts to changing job demands to meet client’s needs, aligns team work to support attainment of goals and manages priorities and expectations.
