IT Systems Engineer is looking to progress to the next level within a vibrant, busy and team centric managed service provider. Position will predominantly revolve around assisting with configuring, installing and maintaining infrastructure level equipment and providing at-desk support for users being upgraded to new IT systems, including profile, email and data migrations.

Role will also involve on-site project delivery as part of the wider technical team, and will often involve installations of new servers and on-site delivery of Office365 projects.

Whilst not attending to the above, you will be required to assist that general support team with remote and on-site delivering of support tickets to a wide variety of clients, using remote control tools to resolve problems where possible, and delivering on-site support when needed.

Applicants should have excellent track record of delivering support within the Microsoft ecosystem, especially at the Windows desktop and server operating system level, and Microsoft Office applications, including Office365 setup and administration functions. Knowledge and experience of working with Apple devices a definite advantage.

Good technical networking skills and proven network troubleshooting experience essential.

This position will involve a high degree of on-site work, so a car and a valid driving license are essential. Ability to work independently and solve problems dynamically is essential, as well as being able to adopt team working when back in the office. Attention to detail is paramount, not only in delivering flawless support to end-users, but also in keeping time sheets, job notes and IT related documentation up to date.

This is a predominantly client facing role, so first class professional, outgoing, enthusiastic engineers need only apply, as you will be representing the firm on the front line. Clear spoken English and the ability to translate IT problems into “plain talk” essential.
