They are looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to join their service and support team!

Reporting to the IT Support Supervisor, the IT Network Engineer is responsible for installing & configuring both computer and telecoms hardware, software, systems & networks as well as planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance tasks.

The role also requires the ability to:
- Communicate with clients and colleagues, to determine the nature of issues
- Oversee security of solutions and implementation of updates or audits
- Plan future improvements, suggesting IT solutions to business problems

Duties will include:
- Attending to second line support calls – via telephone and email
- Configuring hardware ready for deployment to customers' sites
- Site visits – to rectify faults, complete site surveys and install new solutions
- Supporting colleagues both with technical issues and solution advice
- Day to day network & security checks
- Fault reporting and resolution with service providers

The successful applicant will be:
- Good at problem solving.
- Highly organised and be able to multi-task
- Able to explain technical problems in simple terms
- Able to work well within a team as well as individually
- Dedicated to continually updating their knowledge
- Clear understanding of the employer’s & clients particular systems

Experience required for this role:
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
- Understanding of VoIP networks
- Microsoft certifications are desirable
- Exposure to windows servers
- Exposure to virtualised systems
- Exposure to routing & firewall configuration
- Exposure to packet analysis tools (Wireshark)
- Able to design and quote for new solutions

Additional Information

Based at their Leicester Offices (Nationwide sit visits may be required), the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and a bonus scheme (after a qualifying period), excellent holiday package and training opportunities. A Valid UK driving license is required and the standard hours of work are 08:30 - 17:00 Mon – Fri. Company vehicle will be provided to successful applicant.
