This company is the governing and regulatory body for horse racing in Great Britain. It is their role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, ensuring that the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse. Their vision is to build a brighter future for their sport, their horses and their people.

They are currently looking for a competent HR Coordinator to join and support a fast paced, dynamic and passionate team on a fixed term basis for a 12 month period. This is an exciting and diverse opportunity for someone to provide effective operational support to the HR team in delivering our people strategy by ensuring the contribution of all employees is maximised and is suited to an individual willing to develop and grow within the company.

As the HR Coordinator you will be responsible for the proactive and effective production, organisation and delivery of all areas within HR. With excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach, you will be responsible for the efficient updating and maintaining of employee files, specifically with their new joiners and leavers, and ensuring all information entered into the HR System is accurate and precise. You will have responsibility of overseeing annual company events and supporting the company including the executive team. Ideally, the candidate will have proven ability with supporting managers as appropriate with recruitment processes and a competent interviewer.

Using your excellent communicative skills, you will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, responding quickly and promptly within a reasonable time frame. You will be a naturally helpful person, with a positive attitude and a flexible approach, who can multitask and prioritise a high volume of tasks, with the minimum of supervision. Excellent proven communication skills, both written and oral, that can be adjusted to suit the situation are vital whilst displaying a high level of discretion and diplomacy, even under pressure.

The successful candidate will have a proactive and flexible approach and plenty of initiative. They will need to be an enthusiastic and approachable individual who is able to translate strategy into action.

HR experience is ideal but not necessary if you are looking for your first role or a change in career and possess the relevant skills set.

A proficient user of MS Office packages, particularly HR information systems, Word and Excel would be desirable.
