An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Management & Letting Officer. You will operate like a private sector letting agent but prevent homelessness, increase the supply of affordable housing and make it easier for low income, working households to access good quality private rented accommodation.
They are now looking to recruit a highly-motivated Housing Management & Lettings Officer who has a good understanding of housing and proven knowledge of landlord and tenant law, landlords’ repairing obligations and the grounds for possession.

The Housing Management & Lettings Officer will provide tenants with an efficient, customer-focused housing management service that maximises rent collection, sustains tenancies and achieves high levels of tenant satisfaction. They will also ensure that all homes are re-let as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

To meet the requirements of this interesting and varied role, you must have excellent communication skills, be an effective problem solver and work well under pressure. You must also be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your work, meet tight deadlines and make clear, consistent decisions.
Ideally, you will already have some experience of managing social rented housing, temporary accommodation or private rented housing.

In this role you will provide a high quality, responsive, customer-focused hosing management and lettings service for everyone living in private rented housing and temporary accommodation.

Duties will include: -
- Work collaboratively and proactively with Housing Options & Advice Team
- Develop and maintain close working relations with Council services and wide range of other stakeholders
- Undertake regular visits and inspections to ensure all of the properties are being let and managed by the Social Lettings Agency.
