This council is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious individual to support their housing and planning policy teams.
Working across their small but busy and proactive housing and planning teams, the successful candidate will be educated to degree standard or equivalent and will ideally have experience of working within a planning or housing environment. You will carry out a wide range of work, including research, information gathering and monitoring, to inform policy development and meet their statutory requirements.
The role will involve contact with councillors, other professionals and the public so you will need experience of dealing with people and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also need good numeracy and IT skills. You will be flexible and willing to work both co-operatively within the team and also on your own initiative.
If you feel you have the necessary skills and can demonstrate an understanding of housing and/or planning services, they can offer the opportunity to assist in a wide variety of work.
