There is an opportunity for an operator to join our production team as a wrought operative.
Previous foundry experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
Preferable/transferable skills:
- Fork-lift truck license (counterbalance)
- Operation of bandsaw
- Good communication skills
- Manual handling
- IT literate
- Good organisation skills
General responsibilities:
- Mix preparation
- Sand mould preparation
- Loading induction furnaces
- Melting of raw material
- Compositional control of product
- Operation of CNC lathe
- Casting
- Use of power tools
- Grinding/fettling
- Configuration of moulds
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations
Terms of employment:
Permanent
Monday - Friday
Salary £20,900 - £23,800
Applicants should be willing to work a standard 42 - 48 hour week. Shift work may be required.
