This exciting opportunity would be ideal for an newly qualified, commercially minded, Finance Manager who is ideally looking for promotion within 24 months.

Job Responsibilities :

- Managing a client portfolio for a diverse range of start ups providing an excellent, proactive service
- Prepares monthly management accounts and provides CFO support to clients
- Manages monthly accounting month end close
- Prepares statutory annual accounts for filing and returns to company house
- Takes pro active role in improving information and procedures
- Undertakes company secretarial duties
- Chair team meetings
- Liaise with legal advisors over any fund raising issues and ensure procedures are met

The role:

You will be have a robust technical knowledge of all aspects of accounting. You will also have an understanding of year-end statutory accounts, month end processes (eg. VAT) and corporation tax.

Good managers lead by example and inspire their team – you will oversee a team of 4-5 staff some qualified and others partway through their qualifications. You will be excellent at time management, and will take responsibility for overseeing all client requirements of the team.

General:

- Graduate degree with a 2:1 attained
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- At least 5 years practice experience
- Experience of accounting for start ups.
- Excellent IT skills including Xero and Excel
-Ability to lead a client team and to inspire junior staff
- Delegate workload, ensure timely delivery of work and meet team KPI’s.
- Self-motivated with a drive to achieve and a passion to deliver top quality work
- Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills – in person and written
- Outstanding attention to details
- Xero experience is a big plus

Technical:

- Good working knowledge of business tax rules and compliance processes
- Good working knowledge of management accounting, and cashflow forecasting
- Awareness of basic VAT rules
- Awareness of basic PAYE rules
- Strong work ethic

Personal:

- Experience of working with start-up companies and or SME’s
- Willingness to learn about the technology industry
- Outgoing and confident.
