The company is a successful growing Carpentry and Joinery company serving high profile, top tier construction and housebuilding clients. Due to continued expansion and increased workload an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant.

Responsibilities:
- Sales ledger
- Purchase ledger, including month end BACS run
- Recording bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations
- Credit card analysis and reconciliation
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly VAT return/ CIS return
- Annual HMRC tax compliance returns and other regular external compliance reports
- Fixed Asset register and maintenance
- Assisting in the preparation of month end management accounts
- Petty Cash
- Assisting in the year end process
- Filing
- Ad-hoc analysis and duties as required

Skills & Experience:
- Previous accounts experience of 2+ years (required)
- AAT qualified or currently studying
- Ability to establish good working relationships across the business at all levels
- Willing to assist in other areas
- IT literacy with excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Previous experience of SAGE an advantage
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and able to work on your own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Keen and happy to work as part of a team
- Discrete and trustworthy
