This company is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial real estate investment focussed on building a rapidly-growing commercial ground rent portfolio. They offer the opportunity to accelerate the learning of motivated, inquisitive individuals joining their team.

The Role:
Part-time bookkeeper required for a property investment group of companies that has been established for two and half years. They currently outsource their bookkeeping function and are looking for an experienced, part-time bookkeeper to bring all matters in-house.

They also intend to move from Sage to Xero. The role would suit someone who has an overall grasp of accounts to trial balance level and preparation of management accounts. Working hours are flexible. Applicant should be looking to work in a small, entrepreneurial team and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:
- Initial project will be to move all data from Sage to Xero
- Produce monthly cash flow statement and management accounts
- Reconcile banks accounts, petty cash and credit card expenses
- Pay suppliers
- Raise and follow up on payments of invoices
- Set and monitor group budgets
- Account for property purchases and sales
- Prepare individual accounts for owned properties to report to investors
- Produce quarterly VAT returns
- Office management including ordering stationery/colleting post etc
- Liaise with accountants to streamline processes

Requirements:
- Significant experience of all aspects of accounts including preparation of management accounts up to trial balance, year-end accounts and VAT returns
- Experience in purchase and sale of properties
- Experience of using Sage and Xero bookkeeping packages
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong IT skills including MS Office particularly MS Excel
- Keen ability to work with others and organise effectively
- The ability to think independently, critically and, most importantly, organising the office infrastructure so that the team is working effectively
- Close attention to detail, excellent verbal communication and perfect writing skills
Duration: Permanent – Part-time

Hours: Flexible and approximately 15 hours per week

Location: Mortlake, South West London, SW14

Salary: £15 per hour

Start Date: ASAP
