This long established company with more than 25 years’ experience in the precast concrete industry, offers a design, supply and installation service to main contractors nationwide. Specialising in structural precast concrete components, particularly Hollowcore, Beam and Block flooring and concrete stairs. This is a busy department, working in a fast paced environment.
They are now looking for an experienced estimator to join their busy team. This will involve preparing quotations from information received from clients so being able to read drawings and understand construction is important. There will also be some negotiation. It is important to be commercially aware, have good numeracy skills and be a confident communicator.
The candidate must be an effective communicator with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers. A highly organised person with attention to detail is key, as are a flexible attitude and a pro-active outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing quotes and sending out to clients
- Taking off information from drawings
- Checking quotations against client specifications
- Amend quotations if details are changed
- Logging new enquiries
- Negotiation with clients on pricing
- Feeding back information to other members of the team
- Ensure that all paperwork is accurate
- Associated administration
