Digital Project Manager

Delivering projects to meet their client’s objectives

This company is a thriving software and web development company. They build web-based software applications and websites, and work with a range of companies and organisations in and around Oxfordshire.

Due to the expansion of their business, they are looking for a Digital Project Manager with at least 2 years’ experience to join their Project Management team and work on an exciting and varied range of projects.

The role

You will work on a broad range of projects across multiple industries taking projects from the quote stage through to the final deliverable using the project management method (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) appropriate to each project.

You will oversee projects to ensure they are correctly resourced, planned and specified so that they run to schedule and budget, delivering high-quality websites and applications.

They have a defined project process which you will implement and drive forward for each project you work on collaborating closely with the rest of the Project Team (Account Manager, Designer and Developer/s) and liaising directly with their clients.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

- Scoping – project planning, creating functional specifications
- Development – liaising with the development team, monitoring & communicating progress, assessing change requests and overseeing internal user testing
- Delivery – user training, assisting with user acceptance testing and content loading, managing the process of reporting issues and tracking progress
- Project close – managing client feedback and bug fixing post-launch

Skills & experience

As a Digital Project Manager, you will have worked on the scoping, development and delivery of bespoke websites and software applications, on both small and large-scale projects.

Essential

- Excellent project management skills
- Experience of producing detailed project specifications
- Fantastic problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills at all levels

Desirable

Qualifications in Project Management e.g. Prince2
- Experience working with Agile project methodology
- Experience of creating prototypes for software applications
- Experience with CMS and/or CRM systems
- Undertaken testing of websites and software
- Training experience

More about the job

They are looking for someone to work full-time (or nearly full-time), based in their offices in the centre of Oxford which are within walking distance of public transport.

Hours: 37 per week. Monday to Friday (flexible working hours within reason)

Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 depending on experience

Holiday entitlement: 23 days, plus bank holidays
