Joining a team of dedicated and experienced team of engineers this role is a depot based role and the candidate will be responsible for predominately servicing generators. We are looking for someone with some form of generator (diesel/gas) servicing/repair/basic testing experience. Alternatively you will have experience servicing/repairing industrial chillers, boilers and refrigerants and will be F-Gas/CITB qualified.

The main focus of this role will be carrying out inspections and testing of all fleet (predominately generators) that are returning from hire (from customers returning to the depot). You will be responsible for carrying out any necessary maintenance and repairs on the generator fleet to ensure it is prepared to a high standard for upcoming hires.

Key responsibilities:
Core Activities
- New fleet acceptance and pre-dispatch inspection to ensure the equipment is of a high standard.
- Multi generator Servicing (including minor and major repair of all fleet). This will include:
- Basic electrical fault finding < 1500v dc and <1000v ac
- Alternator configuration
- Load testing of fleet
- LV (Low voltage) switching, maintenance and alternation.
- When necessary provide technical support to service engineers, depot staff and customers

QHSE
- Maintain the yard and workshop in a neat and tidy state in accordance with company policy
- Ensure all yard/workshop equipment in safe/good working order

Other
The duties described above cover the main focus of the role, however from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business. This may include but is not limited to Field Based Servicing. There will be occasional overtime (rota based)

Education/Qualifications
- Time-served Mechanical and or Electrical apprenticeship or a City & Guilds/ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence
