An exciting opportunity for the position of Control Systems Engineer has arisen in this company due to sustained growth from their varied customer base.
They specialise in the design, build and installation of bespoke control systems, factory automation systems and vision inspection systems. They have a worldwide customer base which spans many different industry sectors including food and beverage, air filtration, material handling and packaged products. Their experience also extends to panel building and contract machinery programming.
Overall purpose of the role
To assist in the Design / installation / service and manufacture of their bespoke control systems and packaging machinery.
The key responsibilities include
- Control System Design
- Liaise with their internal panel builders to ensure the systems are built to the design spec.
- Programming of the PLC / Touch Screen / Network / Scada.
- On Site Installation and Commissioning.
- Service and Fault find on existing systems.
- Project management
The position will be based at their offices near Cheltenham although there will be a significant amount of onsite work at our customer sites primarily in the UK, Europe and the US.
To succeed you will be
- Experienced in Industrial Control Systems.
- Experienced in PLC Programming (Allen Bradley / Siemens essential, B & R Advantageous).
- Experienced in Industrial Networks (EtherNET, ProfiNET, X2X or similar)
Ideally you will also have
- Eplan Electrical design experience
- Plastics processing machinery experience.
- Packaging systems experience.
- Experienced in Project Management
- Experienced in Electrical design software.
- Experience of working in foreign countries.
- The Desire to learn and improve yourself
