This company is based in the centre of Kendal and are the UK’s leading supplier of premium worktops. They manufacture stone, granite, quartz, slate, solid surface and timber work surfaces for both kitchens and commercial applications.
Due to expansion, they are looking for a CNC Machinist / Operator to join the team and manufacture high quality worktops. The candidate will be working at their new purpose build facility in Kendal. They are looking for candidates who have experience in operating CNC and/or wood working machinery, however full training will be provided.
Duties will include:
- Beam Saw / CNC Saw operation – cutting sheet material to size
- To ensure an effective use of materials from cutting lists
- To undertake the CNC cutting to accurate dimensions for fabrication
- To clean and maintain machinery and tools
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience of CNC machine operating and setting is essential
- Previous experience of hand power tools is essential
- Good Numeracy Skills & Computer Skills
- Understand and Read Plan Drawings
- Good Communication Skills
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to manage own time and workload and work to tight deadlines
- Ideally AutoCAD skills however full training will be given
- Ability to Learn

Job Type: Full-time, based in Kendal
Salary: Dependent on Skills & Experience
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 7-5pm and overtime will be available
Immediate start available, however they will honour a candidate’s notice period where applicable.
