This company is delighted to announce a job opening for a full-time position as BDM. They are a London and Chester based company that specialises in providing short-term finance to property developers, and they have developed a sustainable business model with 4 years of experience and consistent growth. Currently, they have c.£10million invested, which they want to double in the next year. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a thriving company with a fun and collaborative culture. It also offers the chance for frequent travel around the country, and will enable you to learn the ins and outs of real estate - a great investment - through exposure to many entrepreneurial developers.

*What the role will involve*
As the BDM, you will be primarily responsible for generating new deal flow for the business by liaising with property developers throughout the country. As their business model is built on creating personal relationships with every developer, this role will involve attending regular property networking events and meetings to find new deals. The director will show you the ropes and quickly train you to effectively network and ‘work the room’ in property events with developers! You will also be responsible for cultivating client relationships with all current and past developers, to (a) give them the best possible service, (b) to ensure repeat business. Finally, you will be responsible for growing their online presence with developers, and building deal flow and client relationships through social networking. Exactly what this looks like in practice is partly up to you – they are looking for someone that can show initiative to build the role themselves.

*What they’re looking for in a candidate*
They are looking for a candidate that has the following personal attributes:
- Has very good oral and written communication skills
- Enjoys networking, and is outgoing and approachable both in person and on the phone
- May have past experience in a sales or client-facing role (not essential, however)
- Is an experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite (and, preferably, the Apple iWork suite)
- Has at least a decent grasp of numbers and finances (e.g. B or above in Maths GCSE)
- Can handle a variety of responsibility with little oversight
- Is motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Is ambitious and proactive, and wants to have their role grow as the business grows

*What they can offer you*
The job will be for 35-40 hours per week and pays a base of £15/hr, plus sales-based commission. As a small company, they can also provide flexibility in your work that others can’t. For example, they can arrange for flexibility to be built into the hours you work if desired, as well as for holiday time (especially if you are able to do some work whilst travelling). You will also be given a new company iPad to use on the job. Ideally, the BDM will live close enough to work the plurality of their time in and around Chester or London.
