This award winning, ambitious fast growing export distributor of Automotive & Motorsport products is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to continue driving the business forward.

The role is primarily the processing and management of accounting information.

As you will be dealing with management level decision makers you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The varied nature of this role demands that you have excellent organisational and time management skills.

You must be a confident individual who has a proactive approach and motivated attitude towards work – ideally they are looking for an individual who is positive, enthusiastic, driven and has an attention to detail.

The company processes financial information using Sage Line 50 and Mansys, a sales order processing system.
The role will be based in Needham Market, Suffolk.

Responsibilities
- Supervision of one other accounts employee who maintains the sales ledger, petty cash and processes stock invoices.
- Record day to day financial transactions where necessary and complete the posting process
- Ensure sales invoices are imported correctly from Mansys into Sage
- Maintenance of various bank accounts including foreign currency accounts
- Make supplier payments including payments overseas
- Perform month end reconciliations for supplier statements
- Perform month end reconciliations for bank accounts
- Perform month end reconciliations for company credit cards
- Maintain a travel log for overseas trips and process expenses
- Liaise with the external payroll bureau to ensure the monthly payroll is accurately processed
- Process payroll reports to the nominal ledger
- Liaise with the pension provider to ensure the company is compliant with auto enrolment requirements
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT Returns, Intrastat Returns and EC sales lists
- Submit Companies House Returns where necessary
- Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
- Provide additional bookkeeping duties if required

Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a feel for numbers
- Hands-on experience with proprietary software and spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
