This supplier of medical equipment and consumables is looking for a talented and ambitious individual to manage the companies bookkeeping and credit control function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the everyday bookkeeping, credit control and financial reporting aspects of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Daily bank and petty cash reconciliation
- Managing credit control to ensure timely payments from customers.
- Managing accounts payable to ensure timely supplier payments.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Completing quarterly VAT returns
- Completing employees wage and pension payments.
- Maintaining the filing system
- Providing administrative support where required.
- Managing staff expenses
- Monthly data analysis and ad hoc reporting across the business

Required Experience and Skills

- Experience in using Sage 50 absolutely essential
- 3+ years experience in a similar position.
- University degree in Accounting /Finance, AAT qualification, or part qualified ACCA would be advantageous.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good proficiency with using a computer especially with Excel and Outlook.
- Solid analytical skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be confident, assertive and professional especially when chasing payments.

As well as a competitive basic salary the role also benefits from a bonus scheme (following qualifying period), company pension, staff discount and staff social events.

Minimum 25 hours per week initially with the view to increase hours as the company expands.

Salary: £20,000 pro rata
